Castilleja school’s Student Leadership and Community Partnership Programming Manager, 7th Grade Dean, and 8th Grade Dean will lead a hands-on workshop. Using two on-going local partnerships as case studies (one with a local, underserved K-5 school and the other with the Palo Alto VA hospital), participants will:
· explore the complexities of fostering multi-year, reciprocal partnerships
· identify and understand why key leadership competencies are optimally learned through the partnership model
· follow several student journeys through their engagement with two intentionally designed back-to-back partnership experiences
· evaluate the students’ leadership growth using Castilleja’s unique leadership assessment tool
Leave with a checklist for effective partnership and a copy of Castilleja’s leadership assessment tool.
