Sharing Authority for Developing Great Teachers: The CTTL/Crimsonbridge/Teach for America (DC Region) Partnership

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

The most innovative thinking being applied to enhancing teacher quality and closing the student achievement gap today is in the field of Mind, Brain, and Education science. What happens then when a foundation brings together the only Mind, Brain, and Education (MBE) science school-based research center in the United States with Teach for America (DC Region) for the purpose of developing MBE research-informed professional development programming? This session presents a model for how two organizations, equally committed to providing an excellent education for all students, leveraged their individual experience and expertise to create a mutually beneficial public/private partnership to serve teachers and children in some of the most challenging schools in the United States. Participants will gain insight, and develop a roadmap, for replicating the CTTL/TFA partnership when they return to their home-schools or communities.
